Star to give a fresh voice to SMBs
Business ISP, Star appoint Hugo Harber as Director of Voice
Star, the business ISP, today announced the appointment of Hugo Harber as Director of Voice. A seasoned telecoms professional, Harber will be responsible for delivering Star's current VoIP services and working with its customers to develop new voice products and services to solve real business challenges.
"Hugo has been working with Star on a consultancy basis for the past year spearheading our entry into voice products and services for small and medium-sized businesses", explained Star CEO Ben White. "We feel his knowledge of the telecoms market, combined with his experience leading, developing and executing projects makes him the ideal person to fulfil this role at Star."
Prior to joining Star, Harber spent ten years running engineering and technology businesses - the last five of which he ran a successful Telecoms Consultancy. In tandem with consultancy, Harber launched and ran Switch2 for Littlewoods Shop Direct Group, the fastest growing telecoms business of 2005.
"I am delighted to take up this role and make a long-term commitment to Star and the SMB market. The development of new SMB-specific VoIP services is a really exciting prospect which will give small and medium-sized businesses access to the benefits that have previously only been available to large enterprises", said Harber.
"Star has a fantastic reputation in the SMB market as a result of their innovation, delivery of award winning products and best in class customer service. Adding voice to Star's existing SMB product portfolio is an exciting opportunity for the business."
