Purpose
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will manage the Product Marketing Executive and Regional coordinators. The role will take ownership, define, plan, execute and review sales promotions and specific initiatives to generate qualified leads and sales in order to achieve corporate targets and goals.

Supervision of 3 staff members:
- Product Marketing Executive (MPLS)
- Product Marketing Executive (Hosting)
- Channel Marketing Executive.
Principal Accountabilities
Within marketing, the role of the Product Marketing Manager is critical to ensure the drive of the product and effective execution of multiple campaigns involving all members of the marketing team together with interaction with all other audiences within Star (such as sales). This role ensures that the following functions are fulfilled:
1. You will formulate, develop, evolve and execute marketing initiatives. Provide input into the positioning, messaging, segmentation and sales channels to maximise market share, motivate the sales teams and push sales.
2. To ensure that marketing campaigns are executed effectively within budget and on-time.
3. To ensure that campaigns are effectively communicated to the rest of Star and that all stake-holders for a campaign are briefed and joined-up with the campaign goals and objectives.
4. To obtain and effectively communicate the campaign elements to the field, defining and documenting roles and responsibilities and obtaining support for campaigns.
5. To take full ownership and overall project management control for specified major campaigns, including product launches, from project plan through results measurement.
6. Specific responsibilities include:
a. Produce and own Campaign Marketing plans liaising with other Marketing functions.
b. Track qualified leads for all major campaigns and implement processes to monitor and measure lead generation and follow-up from campaigns.
c. Ensure no exceptions with budget and update reporting - take responsibility for producing regular campaign reporting, including but not limited to: Project Status Update Reports, Budget Tracking, Delivery Schedules, Results reporting.
d. To feedback key requirements/issues through to the rest of Marketing and the Sales Organisation.
7. To ensure that the sales organisation is equipped with clear messaging and materials to ensure effective selling of Star packages and solutions - including sales tools and competitive understanding.
8. To ensure new product introductions (including launches) are managed effectively to achieve defined objectives.
9. To ensure effective campaign execution to generate leads for Sales.
10. To be an acknowledged spokesperson for your product area to analysts, press and at conferences, exhibitions and other marketing activities.
11. To engage with sales and participate in customer / prospect meetings as the acknowledged expert of this functional area.
Profile
Critical qualities for success in this role will include leadership, drive, and relationship management coupled with the experience and flair to ensure strong support from the team and other functions in Star. This person will demonstrate maturity, strength and the proven ability to merge strategic thinking with deliverables and operational success.
Essential:
• Must have proven Sales and marketing experience within the IT or Software industry, management experience and a track record in completing projects within time and budget.
• Energetic and flexible individual possessing a high level of self-confidence and having the ability to influence individuals at all levels.
• Highly organised with a 'can do' attitude who is capable of working alone and with others to develop a plan and then ensure the its successful implementation.
• Demonstrable project management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage a regional marketing team.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to learn and understand technical functionality of the products.
• Prioritise and successfully manage multiple projects.
• Proven experience of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Ability to analyse and report trends.
• Good understanding of CRM databases.
• Full driving licence.
