Department: Marketing
Reporting to: Director of Marketing
Location: Barnwood
Purpose
To develop good quality led management within Star and ensure that the telemarketing team delivers high quality leads in order to increase revenue.
(Note: - This is a new role and activity and further growth of the team will depend on its performance. Initially this is a hands on lead generation role as well a leadership position)

Principal Accountabilities
- Management of one member of staff to include interviewing, performance reviews, training and development, grievances, disciplinary action, and proposing salary increases to the Marketing Manager
- Individual accountability for own inbound and outbound lead qualification, plus ensuring that the telemarketing executive has an appropriate work load and delivers to the required quality
- Ensuring that all reports and performance statistics provided on a weekly and monthly basis to the Marketing Manager are comprehensive, accurate and on time
- Developing call scripts through liaison with other internal departments, in particular sales, according to the needs of the business and ensuring the team is endeavouring to identify sales opportunities through the implementation of these scripts
- Ensuring that all enquiries entering the business are qualified to pre-defined criteria and distributing them to the relevant sales team or individual
- Ensuring that all telemarketing activities are integrated with core and micro marketing campaigns and that they fully support new product introductions and existing product up-sells
- Ensuring that information added to the CRM database is accurate and complete and that existing information is maintained and updated regularly
- Working with Business Systems ensuring regular data imports are conducted to maintain quality and quantity of data
Profile of job holder
Essential:
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent
- Significant experience in a telemarketing role which should include being involved in some supervisory or coaching experience
- Proven experience of meeting or exceeding targets in terms of outbound calls made and leads generated
- Basic understanding or strong interest in internet technologies
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS office applications, in particular Word and Excel, and able to manipulate data for analysis
- Ability to analyse and report trends
- Good understanding of CRM databases
- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working in a fast moving, technical environment
- Experience of working closely with Sales department to develop integrated campaigns
- Knowledge of Goldmine database
