Department: Marketing
Reporting to: Lead Generation Team Leader
Location: Barnwood
Purpose
To research, qualify and deliver a high quality and number of leads to enable tangible increases in sales and revenue.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensuring that all enquiries entering the business are qualified to pre-defined criteria and distributing them to the relevant sales team or individual
- Carrying out telemarketing activities as directed by the Lead Generation Team Leader in a professional manner
- Providing weekly performance reports to the Lead Generation Team Leader ensuring that they are comprehensive, accurate and on time
- Issuing fulfilment collateral to prospective customers before passing leads to the sales team
- Ensuring that information added to the CRM database is accurate and complete and that existing information is maintained and updated regularly
- Providing feedback on call scripts to the Lead Generation Team Leader in order to improve the effectiveness of calls and identifying sales opportunities through the implementation of these scripts
Profile of job holder
Essential:
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with a minimum grade C in Maths and English
- Experience in a telephone based, customer focused position
- Proven experience of meeting or exceeding targets in terms of outbound calls made/ inbound calls closed
- Basic understanding or strong interest in internet technologies
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS office applications, in particular Word and Excel, and able to manipulate data for analysis
- Good understanding of CRM databases
- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- Previous telemarketing experience
- Previous experience of working in a fast moving, technical environment
- Experience of working closely with Sales department to develop integrated campaigns
- Knowledge of Goldmine database
